Refunds & rescheduling
Rules for deposits, cancellations, and fee adjustments on audits for fintech commissioned from Platform Connects.
Eligibility
Refunds apply to professional fees and deposits paid under a signed engagement letter for audit work. Website inquiries alone do not create fees. No physical goods are sold on this site.
Timeframe
Cancellation requests should be emailed to hello@platformconnects.digital at least ten business days before the scheduled fieldwork start for a full deposit refund, unless the engagement letter states a different window.
Full and partial refunds
If you cancel more than ten business days before fieldwork, deposits are refunded in full. Cancellations inside ten business days forfeit the deposit to cover reserved staff time. If fieldwork has begun—document testing or interviews underway—fees for completed stages remain payable; unused later stages may be refunded on a pro-rata basis after we issue a status memo.
Non-refundable items
Third-party costs pre-approved in writing (for example, specialised translation of exhibits) are non-refundable once ordered. Completed final reports already delivered are non-refundable.
Process
Email a refund request with the engagement reference, reason, and payment date. We confirm eligibility within five business days and process approved refunds within fourteen business days to the original payment method where possible.
Rescheduling
One reschedule of the fieldwork window is allowed without fee if requested at least seven business days in advance and a mutually available slot exists within sixty days. Later or repeated reschedules may incur a scheduling fee stated in the engagement letter.
No-shows
If nominated interviewees fail to attend scheduled sessions without twenty-four hours’ notice, that day may be billed as delivered. We will offer one makeup slot subject to calendar.
Work already started
Planning memos, sample selections, and draft findings produced before cancellation remain billable. You retain any drafts already shared under the engagement licence terms.
Exceptions
If Platform Connects must withdraw for conflict or capacity reasons, fees for undelivered stages are refunded in full. Force majeure delays are handled by mutual rescheduling rather than automatic refund unless both parties agree to terminate.
