What teams said after the report landed

These notes reference specific audits for fintech work we delivered—findings, samples, and walkthrough days—not star ratings.

Their readiness audit caught that our remittance disclosure still referenced an old fee table three product releases back. The report was blunt about severity, which our board needed to hear before the filing window.

The AML sample felt heavy at first—they insisted on borderline alerts we preferred to skip. Looking back, those were exactly the cases our correspondent bank asked about two months later.

Mock inspection day was useful, though one session ran long and left our product lead exhausted. The debrief notes still became the checklist we used when examiners arrived.

We brought Platform Connects back for a remediation progress review after closing twelve findings on paper. Four were still only partially addressed in live onboarding—better to learn that from them than from a follow-up letter.

Longer engagement notes

Payment institution filing, Taipei

A twelve-person payments team preparing its first institutional licence pack asked for a full regulatory readiness audit across AML, consumer disclosures, and safeguarding narratives.

Fieldwork ran over three weeks with two on-site days in Taipei. The draft findings flagged inconsistent safeguarding wording between the customer terms and the internal treasury memo. Management commented within five days; the final report sequenced remediation ahead of the planned filing month. The firm later commissioned a short remediation progress review on the safeguarding items alone.

Alert backlog before a bank review

A remittance desk facing a correspondent review needed an AML control assessment focused on alert disposition quality rather than policy rewriting.

Platform Connects tested thirty-two alerts spanning two quarters. Disposition notes were strong on fraud cases and thin on source-of-funds follow-ups. The findings memo gave the MLRO a week-by-week catch-up plan without claiming the backlog could vanish overnight. Staff described the tone as firm but workable under their headcount constraints.
